Rex's Plan

To quote one of my all time favorite movies The Hangover, "it's funny because he's fat".  That quote just signifies everything about Jets head coach Rex Ryan.  If he was a skinny guy, he would just be obnoxious.  Because he is a fat guy, he is still obnoxious, but also somewhat humorous.  We are only a couple of weeks into training camp and "the mouth" (Rex Ryan) is an everyday headline. 

Rex spoke again today about the Darrelle Revis contract situation and stated that he has a plan to solve the dispute.   Rex wants to get everyone in one room together and get the contract resolved.   Maybe they can all get into one big circle and Rex could sit in the middle with a guitar and sing Cumbayah.   Next thing you know, Rex will be suggesting they all sit around for a big circle jerk.  The guy really is incapable of keeping his mouth shut.  Hard Knocks will only give him a bigger platform to keep on yapping.  The one guarantee I can make is that this is not the last we here from Rex on the Revis issue or anything else about the Jets.  We all can't wait to hear what is next.    

Hard Knocks Comments:

1. Best quote of the night:  Antonio Cromartie- "I have to provide for the family".  Meaning your twenty kids (it's actually only 8)
2. Rex Ryan has a potty mouth- Dropping f-bomb after f-bomb.  Someone needs to wash his mouth out with soap. 
3. Rex looked ridiculous wearing shorts and converse all-stars
4. Does anyone think Rex performed priest-like acts on any of the players in their rooms?
5. How many times can they mention Darrelle Revis in one episode and how bad are they trying to make him look?
6. Does anyone really care about these rookies that they are spending so much time talking about? 
7. Are Jet fans nervous watching Sanchez throw so many interceptions in practice?  He looked really good catching the ball though.
8. What's so bad about tanning spray?
9. I thought Rex had surgery to make him thinner.
10. I am taking Joe Namath in my death pool.
11. Namath's daughter looks like a horse.
12. I was shocked that Rex Ryan did not go to Roscoe Diner
13. How hot are football player's wives?

Overall I actually thought the episode was pretty boring.  Do we really need Hard Knocks to learn how loud and obnoxious Rex Ryan is, or more about the Revis hold out when we hear about it everyday from the media?
