Best of YouTube 2010

The Best of YouTube 2010

2010 was a great year for YouTube videos.  We are all sad pathetic people who have nothing else to do in life besides watching funny and entertaining videos on our computers.  Some videos are unfortunate for those who have not learned everyone is watching and the camera is always on.

There is not much more to say about this video. Almost every joke has been made.  We now know Rex's favorite positions on the team are punter and kicker.  Ha Ha.  My question is, how do you allow this to be put on the Internet?

Sorry, but I only recognize that woman by feet and not face.

Tucker Carlson is a complete tool.  He is a Christian that believes in second chances, yet stated Michael Vick should have been executed for killing dogs.  That makes sense.  I love how he has to thrown it in your face that he is a Christian. Who freakin cares.  This is why I never watch Fox news.  Go back to Dancing With the Stars, loser.

Excellent teamwork fellas. I'm sure the white guy in the middle is going to be able to break this one up.  Where are the security guards?  There was more action here than most current day boxing matches.  These guys are roommates too.  Maybe Renardo Sidney (the fat one) is upset because some of his cookies were missing from the jar back in the dorms.

Gilbert Arenas is not the brightest guy in the world.  NBA players having guns is quite ordinary, but storing them in the team locker room might not be the best idea.  Add in the fact it is Washington D.C and the President of the United States attends games their.  Gilbert the terrorist? He would have the best crack at an assassination attempt.  You would think after this incident he would keep a low profile, but my man Gilbert really wanted to spit in Commissioner David Stern's face with this move.

It does not all have to be criticizing and making fun of others. Here is a highlight real of my new favorite player in the NBA, Blake Griffin. Sucks for him though that he plays for the Clippers.

Here is my other favorite player.  Amar'e posterizing the queen.  I think that dunk took some more hair off the already receding LeBron James hairline.

This is one of the more crazier endings to an NBA game, highlighted by an amazing game winning buzzer beater.

The Eagles Screw the Giants Again

Giant fans must really hate the Philadelphia Eagles.

First they come back from 31-10 in the 4th quarter to beat the Giants- That was like having the crap beaten out of you, but you are still breathing.

Last night when the Giants needed the Eagles to win, they lost to the Vikings at home.  This just proves that you can never depend on a division rival to help you out.  The Eagles executed them Jack Bauer style.

The Giants needed the Eagles to win because it would force the Bears to play hard against the Packers on Sunday.  If the Bears beat the Packers, they would be the 2nd seed in the playoffs and get a first round bye.  The Giants would then make the playoffs if they beat the Redskins.  If the Packers beat the Bears, they are in the playoffs, regardless of what the Giants do against Washington.  The Bears now have nothing to play for because they are almost guaranteed to be the 2 seed.  I would be shocked if the Packers do not easily win the game, leaving the Giants on outside looking in.

The Giants have themselves to blame for not making the playoffs.  They blew a 21 point 4th quarter lead and got destroyed by the Packers last week.  Their collapse is almost Met-like.  It will be interesting to see the fall out from it.

Knicks vs Heat- Part II

What I learned from this game is, despite never winning a thing, Miami gets every call from the refs.  Dwane Wade gets foul calls when defenders breath on him, yet Raymond Felton gets hacked to the ground and gets nothing.  This continues to validate my theory that NBA games are fixed.

I really hate Miami.  They are the worst sports town and their fans are a joke.  All you see when you watch a Heat game is empty seats.  It is not just the bad seats either.  All throughout court side and the lower levels are vacancies.  They are one city that does not deserve to have a championship caliber team.

Unfortunately, the Knicks are not good enough to beat them right now.  They fought hard and continued to come back, but missed key foul shots and could never get key stops on defense.  It was not even LeBron, but Wade who the Knicks could not stop.  Every run made by the Knicks was halted by a Wade basket.  Give the Knicks Carmelo Anthony and this match up becomes a lot more interesting.

Slow "Footed" Defense

It figures when the Jets offense plays well, the defense is awful.  The Jets defense shouldn't have bothered to take the field in the 3rd quarter.  It looked like a game of two hand touch.  I don't think they covered or tackled anyone.  Drew Coleman and Dwight Lowery can't cover my grandmother.  You could say the defense was a foot slow.

Luckily the Redskins beat the Jaguars, clinching a playoff spot for the Jets.  Jet fans can now relax and not worry about a desperation game against Buffalo to make the playoffs.  I already had them losing if that happened.  That is just how a Jet fan thinks.

None of it will matter though, if the defense does not improve.  At this point in the season, I do not see how it will.  Rex the defensive genius has done nothing to solve it.  In my opinion, they have no chance of going to the Super Bowl.  Additionally, they better hope to play Kansas City and not Indianapolis in the first round.  Their defense has no chance against Peyton Manning.  I have a feeling, regardless of who they play, it might be a one and done scenario.

Basketball on Christmas Day

It has been years since I was excited to watch basketball on Christmas Day.  It feels like the good old days of the 1990s.  It also helps went the Knicks are relevant.

The first question I asked when turning on the game was why the hell are the Knicks wearing green jerseys?  They look like the Celtics and I hate it.   I understand teams want to sell jerseys, but any Knick fan who would buy a green Knick jersey, should  be removed from society.   I want them in their home whites when playing at the Garden.  None of this fugazi nonsense.

For the first time in my life, I will root for the Lakers.  I actually hate the Heat more.  Let's go Kobe.  Let's go Phil.  Let's go Jack.

Why is Portland and Golden St. a Christmas Day game?

Rex Ryan Quiet?

We finally learned how to shut Rex's big fat mouth.  All it took was embarrassing video's of his wife as a foot fetish model, including the infamous video with Rex behind the camera.  Great job disguising the voice.  No one will recognize your loud mouth.

Rex is usually a ball of laughs with the media at press conferences, especially after Jet wins, but carried a much different tune today.

So Rex, Why so serious?

My question to Rex would be, how is it a "personal matter" when your wife put these videos on YouTube?  Once it is on YouTube, it is open for public discussion.  Were the two of you too dumb to realize that?

I am a little disappointed n Rex.  I expected him to embrace this and come out barefoot or something crazy like that, but instead he wimped out with his "personal matter" response.  Just to keep count, he said personal matter 5 times and personal twice.

LeBron Beats Down Knicks

The hype existed from the very beginning.

I know some Knick fans took it personally when LeBron chose to go to Miami, but it was really the Cleveland fans who had the most legitimate beef.  Despite that, it is always good to see how welcoming a New York crowd can be to someone they think burned them.

An exciting first half concluded with both teams even at 57.  It was not Amare, but Gallinari who carried the Knicks.  Both teams went back and forth giving the fans their moneys worth.

The second half was a totally different story as Miami dominated the game on route to a 22 point victory.  It seemed like LeBron did not miss a shot in the 3rd quarter.  I do not think the booing had any affect on him, and instead motivated him to play at a higher level.  After a rough start, the Heat have won 11 in a row, and look like the juggernaut team most predicted them to be.

Gallinari, Fields, and Chandler are nice players, but the last two games against the Celtics and Heat proves the Knicks need Carmelo Anthony.  With Carmelo, the Knicks will have the ability to compete with the top teams in the league and be a title contender.

I would have no problem if they traded two of those 3 players to get Carmelo, but will that be enough?  The Knicks need to hope Carmelo only intends to sign a contract extension with them because if not, other teams have better packages to offer Denver.  The Knicks are improved, but many fans including myself got too carried away.  Ten years of garbage basketball can do that to you.

It Just Got Worse

If it didn't already suck enough to be a Mets fan, it just got worse.  The arch rival Phillies clinched the division title by signing star pitcher Cliff Lee.  Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt, Cole Hamels, and Cliff Lee now make up the best starting rotation in baseball.  Mike Pelfrey might be able to compete for the 5th spot in the rotation if he were a Philly.

The Phillies have shown they are willing to do everything it takes to win.  The Mets have done nothing.  How is it that the Phillies can go out and spend money and the Met's can't?  Oh that's right, our excuse is we have too many bad contracts, so we will sit on our asses and do nothing.  Why not just move the team to Kansas City?  I am still waiting for Castillo and Perez to be thrown off the team.

The Phillies get Cliff Lee and the Mets get Boof Bonzer.  It's a no contest.  Met fans should be really excited they are going into the season playing for second place.  Go out and buy your tickets.  With that starting rotation, the Phillies are a lock to win at least 95 games.  The Mets will be lucky to win 75.  Every day I question my insanity on why I root for this team.

It Sucks to Be a Met Fan

In an off season where teams like the Yankees and Red Sox are throwing money around like Pac Man Jones in a Vegas strip club, the Mets have spent none and given us Terry Collins, Boof Bonzer, and Ronny Paulino.  That is not exactly a murderers row.  Additionally, Luis Castillo and Oliver Perez are still on the team, and we have no clue when Johan Santana will pitch again.  Should I also bring up K-Rod?

I know ticket prices were reduced, but not low enough to get fans excited about any of those acquisitions.  Why would anyone go to Citi Field?  They can give away tickets and people still will not go.  We see the Yankees, Red Sox, and Phillies spend money and put all star teams on the field.  As they shop at Tiffany's, the Mets decided to go to the Thrift Shop.  This is New York and they need to show the fans something to excite them; giving them a reason to go to the ball park.

They have a new general manager in Sandy Alderson, and he has come out openly and said the team can not spend money because of all their bad contracts.  He has also hinted even when these bad contracts come off the books, it is not guaranteed they will put the money back in the team.  My question is,  why should any Met fan have hope?  What are they doing ?  Are the Mets now following the "Moneyball" philosophy?    All I know is the Oakland A's never won a World Series and do not play in New York City, charging high prices for tickets and running their own television network.  The franchise truly just does not get it.

Angry Captain?

You would think 3 years for $51 million would make a guy happy, but Derek Jeter was angered about what went on with the Yankees the past few weeks.  He did not like how the negotiations became so public.  I believe he was angered most by GM Brian Cashman telling him if he was not happy with the Yankee's contract offer, to go find another team willing to pay him as much.

Regardless, Jeter is back at short stop for the next 3 years.  Despite a down year, he is still better than most at the position and the Yankees are not the Yankees without him.  I couldn't imagine Jeter being on another team.  My guess is he will use all the negativity and talk about his age to drive him to have his normal Derek Jeter season next year.  He is a proud player and there is still a lot more game left in that number 2 jersey.

How About Them Knicks

Go New York, go New York, go. If they keep on playing like this, a new song will have to be made. In their most impressive win of the season, the Knicks went into New Orleans and defeated the Hornets. They have now won 6 in a row on the road and did it beating one of the top teams in the Western Conference. Raymond Felton went toe to toe with superstar point guard Chris Paul, scoring 17 points and dishing out 13 assists. Felton so far looks like a steal as a free agent pick up. He looks like the player that lead North Carolina to a national title several years ago. Amare Stoudemire dominated again scoring 34 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Knick fans are beginning to get a little giddy. They finally have a team worth watching.  Hopefully, it is not a big tease.

Angry QB

I always enjoy the post game press conference meltdown.  How bad do Cardinal fans wish Kurt Warner will come out of retirement?  They are awful and Derek Anderson shouldn't be in the league.  Fans that spend their hard earned money to see their team play love seeing their players yucking it up on the side line when getting blown out.  Don't these guys realize the cameras are always on them?

Air Jordan II

Why in the world would I ever pay attention or write about a Central Florida vs Stetson college basketball game? The answer is Michael Jordan.  Well not exactly Michael, but his son Marcus who plays for Central Florida.  Marcus looked like his father on this ridiculous dunk and has become a YouTube phenomenon.

Not too bad having those genetics.  The ref gave him a technical foul for taunting after the dunk.  He must not know who his father was.  My guess is Michael never had a ref do that to him.  This dunk by Marcus made me think about a classic Michael dunk on Patrick Ewing.

Jets Feast on Thanksgiving

The Jets overcame a pathetic first half against the awful Cincinnati Bengals and won the game 26-10.  For some reason they have major problems getting off to good starts, especially in their own stadium.  It seems like they sleep walk through these games.  Jet fans who came out on Thanksgiving night, sitting in a cold rainy stadium, showed their displeasure by booing the team off the field at end of the first half after a Nick Folk missed field goal and a 7-3 deficit.

Thanks to an incredible second half performance by Brad Smith, they won comfortably.  Smith scored two touchdowns in the second half.  The first was on a 53 yard run and the second on an incredible 89 yard kickoff return where he lost his shoe and that still did not stop him.

The string of games against bad teams has now ended.  They go into New England next Monday night with first place in the division and conference on the line.  The Patriots will seek revenge from their week two defeat to the Jets.  The Patriots have been one of the hottest teams in the league and their offense has been unstoppable. If the Jets play like they have the past view weeks, they will not win.   Playing like crap for most of the game and coming back at the end does not work against a team like the Patriots.  They need to finally put together a full 4 quarter performance.

Addition note- Can we please put an end to the incredibly awful flying like a Jet celebration.  Mark Sanchez and Santonio Holmes need to cut off their wings and come up with something new.

Getting A Little Messy

The Yankees are playing hardball with Derek Jeter, telling him to see what he is worth on the open market.  Yankees GM Brian Cashman stated, "We've encouraged him to test the market and see if there's something he would prefer other than this. If he can, fine. That's the way it works."  What he is really saying is, Jeter is not worth the $15 million a year the Yankees are offering him, and no other team is willing to pay him close to that.  Cashman might be right, but this might be a battle he should not be fighting.  This is Derek Jeter, 5 time World Series champion, team captain, and Yankee icon.

Jeter is not worth $20 million a year anymore, but since when are the Yankees such penny pinchers.  This is a team that has more money than God and throws it away like it's paper (A.J Burnett, Carl Pavano, Kei Igawa, etc.).  They are probably going to offer free agent pitcher Cliff Lee over $100 million.  Now is when they choose to be financially responsible when it comes to Derek Jeter's contract?

Big deal if they over pay him.  Almost the entire Yankee team is overpaid.  It's not as if paying Jeter an extra $5 million a year will prevent them from getting other players.  They are not the Pirates.  They charge a fortune for tickets and make 20 times the revenue of any other team.  It seems like the Yankees have no problem overpaying other teams players, yet become cheap when paying their own.

Injury Bug Continues to Hit G-Men

The newest Giants injury is a huge one.  Star wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is out for at least 3 weeks with a lower leg injury.  They already have numerous offensive line injuries and have been without their other star receiver Steve Smith.  Smith says he will be back for the Redskin game in two weeks, and with Nicks out, they desperately need him back.  Without Nicks and Smith, the Giants lose their two best weapons on offense.

The team also continues to struggle because they are a human turnover machine.  They turn the ball over more than any other team in the league.  It is amazing they still have a winning record.  Watching Bradshaw fumbling the ball gives me flashbacks of Tiki Barber.

They take on the Jaguars on Sunday in a very important game.  If the playoffs began today, they would not be in them.  They need to win this game and prove to everyone they are not on one of their typical late season collapses.  Despite being 6-4, the Jaguars are not that good, and the Giants should beat them at home even with all their injuries.

Road Warriors

How about those Knicks.  After their 6 game losing streak, the team was under fire and many wanted the coach gone.  Now after winning 3 straight on their West Coast road trip, happiness is back in Knick land.   It wasn't like they beat the Lakers, Spurs, or Jazz, (they beat 3 crap teams) but wins against any team are important for them.  After the moves they made in the off season, it is imperative for them to be improved and make the playoffs.  This team has expectations that have not been there the past few years.

The Knicks still do not play any defense, allowing the Clippers to score 115 points.  They are 28th in the league in points allowed.  Their offense is the reason why they are winning.  Raymond Felton has played very well during the win streak and even Danilio Gallinari has began to play well.  Amare scored 39 and actually grabbed 11 rebounds in the Clipper game, and he is beginning to play up to the huge contract the Knicks gave him.

The biggest story from the game though was Clippers rookie Blake Griffin.  He is an absolute beast, scoring 44 against the Knicks.  You have to check out these two dunks he had in the game.

The Knicks are showing improvement.  Wins are wins are they need them no matter how they happen or who they are against.  This is a team that lost home games to the Sixers and Rockets.  They now need to start winning at home.  They have been terrible at the Garden and until they begin winning at home, the fans will not believe in this team.

Rex Calls Out Fans

Rex Ryan decided to open his big fat mouth again.  This time he is calling for Jet fans to be in their seats at the beginning of the game to cheer on the team. He is implying Jet fans are not giving the team a home field advantage.

Maybe if they actually scored some points in a home game, the fans would be more into the game.  They had nothing to cheer for in their last home game in which they were shut out by the Packers.  The game was an absolute snore fest.

You can also throw in the fact that most real fans were priced out of their seats and no longer go to games.  Half of the crowd is filled with people that could care less about football and have no interest in the game.   Rex should just worry about coaching football and not so much about what the fans are doing.

Girls Gone Wild

This is only supposed to happen in the NBA or a Miami Hurricane football game.  These are not your classy broads.  Either they were all on their periods, or they just do not like the sight of one another.  These women punched like men.  My guess is some of them are probably hiding their penises under their cups (We all saw the classic soccer movie Ladybugs).  Obviously they are not American either.  The American girl is a much classier and more delicate breed.

This was even better than the jockey fight at the Breeders Cup.  Female athletes in a full out brawl is definitely more entertaining to watch than midget jockeys in a shoving match.  I have now learned just how tough a bunch of foreign soccer girls can be.  And lets face it, who the hell would be talking about womens soccer if this fight did not happen.  Next time lets just get out the pool of mud and make the women much hotter.

Holding Penalty Kills G-Men

I thought this was the biggest play of the game.  Some might point to the Eli pick 6 in the end zone that turned a 9-3 (or a 10-9 game if the Giants score a touchdown) game into a 16-3 game.  The holding penalty called on this play was a joke.  I love how the refs subjectively call holding on certain plays.  The Giants had momentum and if that touchdown was not called back, they might have ended up winning the game.  The unfortunate breaks in an NFL game.  They were doomed in the game from that point on.

Obviously on the next play, Eli fumbled.  I have no clue what he was doing on the play.  It was almost as bad as his left handed pass earlier in the season against the Titans that was intercepted.  The Giants went from being the hottest team in the NFL, to a team that people are questioning whether if they are that good.   That is the typical week to week story in the NFL.  Great one week, not so great the next.  I still think they are one of the best teams in the NFL and would not be surprised if they go into Philly on Sunday night and beat them.

THE BEST 3-6 TEAM IN THE LEAGUE

There are so many things wrong with this organization it is tough to know where to start. But here we go:

According to Coach Mike D'antoni, the Knicks are the best 3-6 team in the league. By the end of the season they will be the best team NOT in the playoffs. There is always an excuse with this organization. Now they aren't playing well because Ronny Turiaf is hurt. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Ronny Turiaf is now the excuse.

Donnie Walsh got them under the cap, which any reasonable person with no executive experience could have done. And then he blows the cap space on Amare, who no other team in the league considered giving a max contract to. He signs Felton to a two year deal which hamstrings the Knicks until he becomes an expiring contract next year. He trades David Lee, the first good draft pick the Knicks made since Mark Jackson (who of course the Knicks also traded), for a talented turnover machine (Anthony Randolph), a guy who may not play for the Knicks because he was hurt before the acquired him (Azuibukke), and the now gem of the deal Ronny Turiaf. Walsh admit tingly did not scout Brandon Jennings. He passed on Russell Westbrook for an un-athletic tweener in Gallinari. Not saying Gallo will not be good one day, but the Knicks needed point guards. Walsh also traded another first round pick clearing cap space for a run at Lebron. Lebron clearly was never coming to the Knicks. Walsh should of done his homework and figured out that Queen James did not have the testicular fortitude to lead a team, and especially in a city like New York. He should have held on to the cap space and let New York fans brass themselves for another year of despicable basketball. Then he could have made a run at Carmelo and others. Now Knick fans are enduring another year of awful basketball anyway. Hopefully Carmelo wants to play in New York for the sake of playing here because this team has shown no signs of being a playoff team, let alone being a contender.

And now back to D’antoni. Is anyone else sick of seeing that dumb look on his face that says he has no idea how to make this team play better. Or are you sick about hearing about his so called doghouse? He says he cannot coach defense because the Knicks have no defensive minded players but anyone who knows basketball knows the coach has to make his players play defense. The Knicks ran Larry Brown out of town because he tried to make them play defense. Now the Bobcats are a playoff team as one of the top defensive teams in the league and the Knicks are not close to sniffing the playoffs. My level respect for Steve Nash has grown tremendously after watching D’antoni coach a few years. Nash should have won a few more MVP awards. D’antoni is clueless and if he hadn’t had one of the best players in the league running the show he probably would be back in Europe coaching by now.

The Knicks have some young talented players; (Douglas, Chandler, Gallinari, and Fields) but will any ever develop into winning players under D’antoni? The Knicks have been losers for so long you have to wonder what it will take to turn this organization around. Amare is not the answer. Felton is not the answer. TURIAF is not the answer.

NO MORE EXCUSES MIKE!!…WIN OR GO HOME!!!

By Michael Farbman

Same Old Story

They did not get LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Paul, or Melo in the off season.  Instead they got Stoudemire and Felton, and still gave Knick fans hope and optimism for a much better season than they have recently experienced.  Many even thought they would contend for the playoffs.  So far it has not looked very good.  They come off a loss on Friday night to a terrible Minnesota team.  They are off to a disappointing 3-6 start and look like the same awful team we have seen for years now.  Many are already calling for the job of head coach Mike D'antoni, but I will not go there yet.  It is still very early in the season and they have time to turn it around.  However, if it does not happen soon, D'antoni might be looking for a new job.

What was most disappointing about Friday nights game against Minnesota was they blew a 21 point 3rd quarter lead and allowed Kevin Love to score 31 points and grab 31 rebounds.  How do you let an individual player have 31 rebounds in a game?  Knock him down, hit him, do something to try and stop him.  It was the first 30 point 30 rebound game in the NBA in 28 years.

They paid Amare Stoudemire a shit load of money to be the man and he has looked nothing like it.  I really thought he was going to be a dominant offensive force.  I even predicted he would lead the league in scoring.  Right now he is averaging 20 points and 8 rebounds.  David Lee produced more than that.  The 100 million dollar man needs to step up his game and lead this team to the playoffs this year.  There is no reason why that can not be done in a crappy Eastern Conference.  He needs to be the one to take it upon himself and not allow a guy like Kevin Love totally dominate his team.  Forget about firing the coach right now, the Knicks need the guy they paid to be their franchise player to play better .  If he doesn't, it will be another miserable season in MSG.

The Riley Countdown

So how much longer will it be until Pat Riley takes over as the head coach of the Heat?  The Heat have been extremely disappointing so far.  They lost to the Celtics again and this time is was in their own building.  They are now 5-4 and do not look like the juggernaut many thought they would be.  So much for 70 wins and multiple titles.  They look more like a team competing for the 8th seed.

They look great against a crap team like the Nets, but when they play good teams like the Celtics, Jazz, and Hornets, they have not won.  I will go easy on LeBron and Wade despite the fact they look lost on the court while playing together.   I am sure both guys will eventually figure it out and just need more time to get used to playing with one another.  I will kill Chris Bosh.  The guy is making 100 million dollars and is averaging 15 points and 6 rebounds.  How does a guy almost 7 feet tall only grab 6 rebounds a game?   He is also the softest player in the league.  Take a look at Rondo dunk on him as he basically stared at him instead of stepping up to try and stop him.

You now have LeBron questioning the amount of minutes himself and Wade are playing.  "For myself, 44 minutes is too much," James declared. "I think Coach Spo knows that. Forty minutes for D-Wade is too much. We have to have as much energy as we can to finish games out."  These guys are both young and get paid over 100 million dollars and he is complaining about playing too many minutes.  Go cry about it.  Who else is supposed to play on that team?  They have no team outside of LeBron and Wade.  Can you imagine Michael Jordan complaining about playing too many minutes.  Oh that is right, we learned that LeBron is no Jordan.

Rex the Cross Dresser

With the wig on, Rex looks like a fat Wisconsin chick.  The Jets play the Browns on Sunday and Rex's twin brother is the defensive coordinator for the Browns.  That was the purpose of his SNL like parody at his press conference.  He really did lose a lot of weight because based on how he looked last year, there was no need for a pillow to be put over his stomach.  Thank goodness for modern technology and fat removal surgery.

I give him credit for being very loose the week of a game.  He is always having a good time and joking around with the media. So many of these NFL head coaches are uptight assholes and take life and their job way too seriously.  Rex is this big fat jolly man, just like Santa.  He is very likeable and gives the Jets character and takes the pressure off his players.  We will see if he can out coach his brother and former Jets head coach Eric Mangini.  Cleveland has played much better and will be a dangerous opponent.

Free Lap Dances at Cowboys Stadium

Who needs luxury boxes at stadiums when you can just get this to happen to you at a football game.  I don't know what's funnier, the girl giving the dude a lap dance in the crowd, or the pervs sitting behind them putting this on video and laughing hysterically.  I like how the guy said "put it on YouTube" and then made a Brett Favre reference.  All that was missing from this was a picture of Farve's junk.  After the guy took the body shot, I was waiting for the wod of singles to pop out.  Finally some of the guys in the crowd began holding them up.  Unfortunately she was probably so wasted that she did not even notice it.
Lets face it, they were at a Cowboys game, and there is no reason to watch those losers play.  However, I now would want to go to Cowboys stadium for some in your face action.   Does that come with the personal seat license?  I might throw down a couple of thousand for that.  What you did not see on the video was after the lap dance, she went to the owners box and blew Jerry Jones.  His old wrinkly ass has to settle for average looking drunk chicks rather than the smoking hot cheerleaders he used to slam back in the day.

The Cowboys are so awful, Jones might as well start paying the cheerleaders to go into the crowd and perform lap dances.  He already has them dancing around on poles.  It will be Scores Dallas Cowboys style.  Lets also bring back some of the early 90's Cowboy players to supply the coke to snort off their chests.  Why not make Cowboys stadium into a whore house?  They already made the classic 70's porn Debbie Does Dallas, based on the Cowboys cheerleaders.  Maybe our horny friend in the video was auditioning for the sequel.

Family Guy Makes Fun of the Mets Again

Even Family Guy is making fun of the Mets now.  I guess you can look at it as a compliment when a hit television show makes fun of you.  The joke was actually somewhat accurate because that is usually how the season goes.  It is over before it really begins.  Although recently it starts out pretty decent and we get our hopes up only to result in pain and suffering.

This was actually not the first time the Mets were made fun of on Family Guy though.  Peter referred to them as garbage being thrown on his front lawn.

You learn to expect these type of things as a Mets fan.  You laugh about it like you think it's funny, but really you just feel the hurt and pain inside.  I am sure this will not be the last time the Mets are a part of some type of joke.

Bon Jovi Gone Bad

Apparently Bon Jovi was at the Celtics game in the form of a nerd with glasses.  This guy really gave it his all performing "Livin on a Prayer".  He was singing, dancing, and showing his stage presence.  Like a true showman, he tried to include the audience in his performance as he held his pretend microphone, played his air guitar, and high fived and hugged others in the crowd.  All that was missing was Simon, Randy, and Paula judging the performance.  I was hoping he would fall down the steps, but unfortunetly that did not happen.  My guess is some were entertained, some were intrigued, and some were wondering exactly how much did this guy drink tonight.  This was a performance that could only be matched by a bunch of drunks at the Joshua Tree on a Saturday night.

There is always one loser at a sporting event who is put up on the big screen and acts like they are some type of superstar.  Now because of YouTube, they become instant sensations and people like me give them more publicity by writing about them.   I personally hate everything that goes on at sporting events.  They have made sporting events into side shows, with sing-a-longs, kiss cam, morons shooting shirts into the crowd, and idiotic fake races between buses or trains.  What ever happened to just going to a game, to watch the actual game itself.  Have we become such an ADD society that the games itself are not good enough.  If it were up to me, I would ban it all.  Sit down, shut up, and watch the game.

Heart Attack Jets

When the Jets were down by 10 in the fourth quarter against the Lions, I was ready to come on here and totally bash the entire team.  I was shocked that coming off a shut out loss at home to the Packers, the Jets did not come out and dominate the Detroit Lions. It looked like I was watching the same garbage I watched last weekend.  Dropped passes, stupid penalties, wasted time outs, and giving up numerous third down conversions.  I actually wanted to jump out of my window while watching this game.

How can you lose to the Lions?   I know they are improved, but they are still the Lions.  A team that thinks they are as good as the Jets do, should never ever lose a game to the Lions.    Luckily for the Jets sake, they were able to come back and send the game to overtime, finally winning in the extra session.  They are now tied for first place with the Patriots who lost to the Cleveland Browns.  The Jets will actually now travel to Cleveland next week hoping to have a better outcome than the Patriots did.

This was one of your typical heart attack Jet games.  Why does every game have to be so excruciating to watch?  All I want is a nice relaxing game.  I want to watch a game like the Giants had in Seattle with them killing them 41-7.   I really can not handle these nail biters.  I feel like I age 20 years watching a Jet game.  I guess I am surprised by this because I bought into all of Rex's hype about how good they were and expected them to be a dominant team.

They are very far from being a dominant team.  They have shown that they are like most of the other teams in the NFL; a decent team that has received some good breaks in games resulting in a 6-2 record.   They need to step up their level of play though, because if they don't, the lucky breaks will start to go the other way.  If they play this way against Cleveland next week, they will not win the game.

Jockeys Gone Wild

I am not a horse racing fan and could care less about Zenyatta, so normally I would have no interest in the Breeders Cup.  However, when there is a jockey fight, I am all about it.  That is must see TV.  Who needs all these horse racing movies in the theatre.  Seeing two squeaky voiced 100 pound jockeys going at it is almost as good as watching midget boxing.  Every horse race should have one.

Jockey Calvin Borel went totally nuts.  They needed around 5 security guards to hold him back.  You would have thought he was The Incredible Hulk.  He had the crazy bug eyes thing going on.  If not held back, he might have killed the other jockey.  I think he could have taken out Ray Lewis with that adrenalin rush of rage.  He is a bad ass little fella.  Overall it was some funny stuff and I can watch this video over and over again.

No Moss

Randy Moss was cut by the Vikings.  The guy is nuts and got himself kicked off the team.  He took plays off and threw his coach under the bus after their loss to the Patriots.  It is always nice to have a guy on your team that does not try and then yaps his mouth after the game.  Total douche.  Pretty typical for Moss and almost every wide receiver in the NFL.  Basically being an asshole is a prerequisite for the position.

This time he wore out his welcome only after a few weeks.  Usually it takes him a few years, but he must be getting better at his craft of being an ass.  The funniest part about this is how he got himself traded from New England because he would not sign a contract and now confesses his love for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.  The guy can't make up his mind and will never be happy no matter what team he is on.  Maybe New England will bring him back.  Stranger things have happened before and nothing would surprise me.  If not New England, some team will pick him up, but I know if it was my team, there would be no chance of it.  The guy is a malcontent and a cancer to anyone around him.

Sleepwalkers

This is why Jets fans should never be optimistic or have high expectations about the team.  It will only result in disappointment.  All I heard the past week from many of them was how the Jets are the best team in football and the odds on favorite to go to the Superbowl.  They did not look like any of those against the Packers.  Their pathetic performance resulted in a 9-0 shutout.

It was painful to watch and made you want to rip every hair out of your head.  They played like they were still on their bye week as they slept walked through the entire game.  Turnovers, stupid penalties, a missed field goal, numerous dropped passes, dumb coach challenges, moronic play calling, and no sense of urgency describe the Jets performance.

The entire offense as a whole was miserable.  Mark Sanchez looks like he has taken 10 steps backwards.  He threw two more interceptions and completed only 16 of 38 passes.  The wide receivers did not help Sanchez out with dropped passes.  They were also out fought for the ball on the 2 interceptions.  They had little success running the ball, and they are dependent on the running game for their offensive success.

Rex Ryan was terrible too, challenging two plays in the first half which he had no chance of winning, giving them no challenges for the rest of the game.  Whoever told him to challenge those plays should lose their job.  Additionally, as the head coach it is your job to have your team ready to play, and the offense was a no show.  The defense played very well, but who cares about that when you can't score any points.

The worst news for the Jets was division rivals Miami and New England both won.  New England now has a one game lead on them for the division title.  The Jets will be on the road the next two weeks facing opponents they should beat, but after the way they played today there are no guarantees.  They face Detroit next week and former coach Eric Mangini and the Cleveland Browns the week after.  They need the offense to get back on track in order to come out of this road trip with two victories.

This is the second year in a row that Sanchez has gone backwards.  He got off to a good start last year and then began to struggle.  He is continuing the same trend this season.  The receivers also might want to start thinking about putting super glue on their hands because they forgot how to catch the ball.  Overall, it sucks to be a Jet fan right now.  All your expectations and good feelings are gone.  Every time they get off to a good start, they find someway to ruin it.

White Men Can Jump

I found my new favorite player in the NBA.  His name is Blake Griffin.  Part of my man crush might be the fact that his last name is Griffin, possibly making him a long lost relative of Peter (Family Guy reference).  Griffin is a beast.  NBA fans lost out seeing him play last year because of a season ending knee injury, but he is back and better than ever.  We can refer to him as the new human highlight film.  There is now a reason to watch a Clippers game.  They always said white men can't jump, but Griffin is proving the theory wrong (he is actually half white).  Just watch these highlights from his first game.

What sucks for Griffin is that he is a Clipper.  Being a Clipper might be one of the worst possible things to be in life.  Only a terrorist and a Nazi rank as worse.  I am a Met and Knick fan and even I would not trade places with a Clipper fan.  Maybe Griffin will overcome the miserableness and make the Clippers into a winning organization.  He is so good that he might be the one to do it.  Showtime is back in L.A and it is not the Lakers.

Blacked Out

Want to watch the World Series? Want to watch the Jets play the Packers on Sunday? If you are a Cablevision subscriber you can not watch either.  Fox and Cablevision are at odds with one another and ultimately the customer must suffer.  The entire situation sucks.  Those that have Cablevision will be forced to find somewhere else to watch the World Series and the NFL on Fox.

I will blame Fox for this one.  Cablevision is willing to go to arbitration and attempted to make other deals with Fox, and they constantly refuse.  When a company is not willing to go to arbitration, it proves they are trying to get every possible dollar they can get.  Fox is looking to make  more money because they are not making the money they used to on advertising.  Is is obvious that Fox could care less about the people that are unable to watch their programming.  Nobody really cares about their crap shows, but the NFL and World Series are a big deal.  Additionally, the Yankees not making the World Series really hurt this deal from getting done or at least politicians stepping in and forcing something to get done.

If it was me, I would just cancel my Cablevision subscription, refuse to pay the cancellation fee, and get another cable company.   Even if Cablevision is not to blame, the fact of the matter is that they are not getting the channel.  There is no chance I am going somewhere else to watch a game.  I want to watch my games on my 52 inch 1080 HD television.  My sports channels are like family members.  You do not mess with them and if you do, I go absolutely crazy.  Luckily, I have RCN and I get every channel I want.  Sucks to have Cablevision.  You can always put on the radio and listen to the games.  It saves you from having to deal with Joe Buck.

Best Team in Football?

This may be a shocking statement to some, but the Giants might be the best team in football.  They totally dominated the Cowboys and are tied for the best record in the NFC.  Since the disappointing Tennessee game, they have won 4 in a row heading into the bye week.  The offense looks great and the defense is basically taking out the opposing teams quarterback each week.

Offensively, you can not look any better.  Eli looks great.  After 2 early interceptions against the Cowboys, he came back to throw 4 touchdown passes.  They have 3 of the best young wide receivers in the game.  Hakeem Nicks is an absolute beast and can not be covered.  The running game is back.  Ahmad Bradshaw has been one of the best running backs in the league.  It seems like he has at least 2 or 3 huge runs a game.  The offensive line is back to playing at the high level they played at two years ago, and even Brandon Jacobs looks like he has finally woken up.

The defense has looked dominant at times.  They are beating up quarterbacks to the point where they are not coming back onto the field.  Osi and Tuck might be the two best defensive linemen in the league.  Michael Boley has quietly been playing like one of the best linebackers in the game.  He totally destroyed Tony Romo, breaking his shoulder blade.  The defense has a swagger that we have not scene in a while.  All the hype has been about the Jets defense, but the Giants d has been far superior.  They have the best pass rush in football and when you have that, you become incredibly hard to defeat.

The biggest weakness they have right now is their special teams play.  Even during this 4 game win streak, they have continued to struggle.  They give up at least one big punt or kick return a game.  They gave up a 93 yard punt return to Dez Bryant in the Cowboy game.  If they do not correct their special teams problems, it will prevent them from being as good as they could be.

It should be a very interesting football season in New York.  Both football teams sit on top of their divisions and have championship expectations.  Is a New York New York Super Bowl possible?  Maybe, but it is still early and the NFL changes each week.  For now, both teams look great and they will give the city an exciting season.

A Bold Prediction

I am going to make a bold prediction right now for the upcoming NBA season.  Amar'e Stoudamire will lead the league in scoring.  I really believe this is possible and there are several factors leading me to make this statement.  He is the healthiest he has been in years and is playing to prove he is worthy of the contract he just received.  In the preseason he averaged around 26 points while playing only 27 minutes per game.  That was the highest scoring total for anyone in the league.  I know it is only the preseason, but that is still very impressive.

In the regular season he wilIl be playing close to 40 minutes a game and he is the main offensive threat on the Knicks.  He shoots over 80% from the foul line and over 50% from the field.   He is also playing in the Mike D'Antoni offensive system which will give him more opportunities to score than any other system in basketball.  While playing under D'Antoni in Phoenix he flourished and since then his offensive game has evolved greatly.  He has added a jump shot to his game and can even hit a three once in a while.  Furthermore, the Knicks play no defense and will be forced into a lot of high scoring games, resulting in more points scored for Amar'e

Many of the big scorers in the league might have their point totals come down a bit this season.

1. LeBron is now playing with Wade and Bosh and will be more of a point-forward type of player.  He will score his points, but the offensive production will not solely be on him like it was in Cleveland.

2. Wade will have his scoring totals come down for the same reasons as LeBron.   He is also always hurt.

3. Kobe is getting older and will share more of the offensive load with Pau Gasol.  As he has gotten older, he has become more of a team player.

4. Carmelo is unhappy in Denver and might not be at his best.  He also could be traded and his scoring totals could be affected depending on the team he goes to.

The main threat to Stoudamire winning the scoring title will be defending scoring champ Kevin Durant.  Durant is an offensive beast and is only getting better.  He carried the U.S team over the summer in the World Championship games, leading the team in scoring.  My hope is that he becomes more of an all around player and some of the young players on the Thunder help him out with the offensive load.  It might be a long shot to hope for this, but that is why they call it a bold statement.

Regardless if he wins the scoring title, he will be the best player the Knicks have had since Patrick Ewing, and makes them a playoff contender.  For Knick fans, that is much more than anything they have received from the team in many years.

Now It's Over

The Yankees lose, the Yankees lose.  I wonder how that final call sounded by Yankees radio announcer John Sterling.  It probably was not as cheerful as his usual obnoxious home run and Yankees win calls.  Ron Washington and Josh Hamilton, take the cocaine and crack needles out and celebrate because you are going to the World Series.

My dream as a Met fan came true, and his name is Colby Lewis.  Colby freakin Lewis.  The big bad Yankees could do nothing against him.  Cliff Lee is one thing, but Colby Lewis?  It was very enjoyable to watch the Yankees lose a series that most people thought they had no chance of losing.  I was one that thought the series was over after the Yankees came back and won game one.  This is one time I am glad to be wrong.

I am so happy I will not have to puke my guts out when nauseated by a Yankee ticker tape parade.  Two years in a row would be too much to take.  The Yankees will have to hold off on a 28th championship.  This loss to Texas probably means this off season they will sign Cliff Lee, Jason Werth, and any other free agent they could get their hands on.  Lee would be the most obvious pick up because if you can't beat him, sign him.  The Yankees will give him a nice 150 million dollar pay check and attempt to buy themselves another title.  That is next year though, and for this year, they will watch the World Series from home.  As Yankee television play by play announcer Michael Kay would say, See Yah!!!

Powder Puff Football

It seems like the NFL is becoming a powder puff two hand touch league.  First they took away hitting the quarterback.  Then they said you can't touch the receivers.  Then they got rid of touchdown celebrations, and now they are taking away helmet to helmet hits.  Why wear a helmet if you can not use it to hit another player?  That is why they are wearing the helmets.  The NFL loves the sounds of the game with the loud bang made from the hard helmets.  If you really want to stop helmet to helmet hits, just take the helmets off the players heads and they will stop going head first.

Football is a violent sport and the fact of the matter is players will get hurt.  We do not like seeing it, but it is inevitable and there is no way to prevent it.  Concussions are a problem, but again, it is football and it's a risk each player takes when they go out on the field.  What part of the body are players allowed to tackle now? If you can't hit up high, then should they hit low and take out the legs?  What is better, a brain injury or not being able to walk again?  Why not just put flags on the players and we can stop hitting all together.  We need to just let these guys play the way the game is supposed to be played.

These are some of the hits from last weekend that sparked the NFL cracking down on helmet to helmet hits.

For those that enjoy the hard hits of the NFL, here are some of the best.  Enjoy them because you might not see this anymore:

Back to Texas

This series has been a major shocker.  The Yankees were huge favorites to win it, and after game 1, seemed like a sure bet.  The Rangers have proved to be a worthy opponent.  Down 3 to 1 in the series, the Yankees managed to win game 5 and force the series back to Texas.  Despite the win, it did not feel like the Yankees got the momentum back in the series.  Game 5 was a struggle and Texas was a hit or two away from making it into a game.  They had 11 hits off of Yankee starter CC Sabathia, but only managed to score 2 runs.  I consider that luck.  In most games where a team has 11 hits, it usually will result in more than 2 runs.   The Yankees need to pitch much better in games 6 and 7 or else their luck will run out.

The Yankees will now depend on Phil Hughes to pitch well enough to get them to a game 7.  Hughes was awful in his first start of the series and needs to be much better in this one.  It will be interesting to see how he does because he have never pitched this deep into a season.  If he is not 100% on his game, the Yankees season might be over.  All he needs to do is give them a solid six innings.  If he does that, the Yankees will have Kerry Wood and Mariano Rivera to close it out.  I would also expect the Yankee offense to step it up and beat up on Colby Lewis.

Even if Hughes pitches well and manages to lead the Yankees to a game 6 victory, Cliff Lee awaits them in game 7.  The Yankees have never been able to beat Lee in the playoffs, so it will be a difficult task for them to achieve.   Lee was masterful in game 3 shutting down the Yankee offense going 8 innings with 13 strikeouts.  Andy Pettitte will be on the other side of the match up and he was almost good enough to match Lee pitch for pitch in game 3, but ultimately came up short.  The Rangers will be ultra confident knowing they have Lee in game 7.  Right now he is Goliath and the Yankees have not proven they could slay him.   More importantly, I do not think that the Yankees think they could beat him.

It's Not Over

After game one of the Yankees and Texas series, I wrote that the series was over.  I guess I was wrong.  Many felt the same way as I did after seeing Texas blow a 5-0 lead and manager Ron Washington looking like Jerry Manuel as he used 5 pitchers in one inning.  The Yankees looked like the Yankees and Texas looked like they did not belong.  Boy have things changed.  Texas has come back to win the last two games and now the Yankees will depend on AJ Burnett to rescue them.  AJ Burnett and rescue really do not go well together.

What this all goes to show you is I am an ultimate jinx.  I have no luck when it comes to sports.  I root for the Mets, Jets, and Knicks.  Once I wrote an article about the series being over, it was the kiss of death for the Yankees.  My Yankee fans friends all got mad at me for writing it because they all know how terrible my luck is.  In college, I bet on the Yankees to win 3 different games in a playoff series against the Angels, and lost every one.

Maybe I purposely bet on the Yankees and write articles stating the series is over for a reason.  I know I am a jinx and my hidden agenda is to bet on the Yankees knowing it will cause them to lose.  Am I that disturbed in the head to do something like that?  The answer is yes I am that disturbed.  I hate the Yankees so much that I would bet money on them knowing they would lose because of my bet.  I am actually willing to lose money to see them lose.  My thought process was if they win, I win money, and if they lose, I win by seeing them lose.

My personal passion is to see the Yankees suffer and their fans to be miserable.  I do not root for New York.  Rooting for New York is for losers.  Life is about making choices and I choose to take in the joy of a Yankee demise.  Unfortunately, this article will probably be a jinx and the Yankees will end up winning the series, but for now I will enjoy their pain.

Lucky Lucky

The Jets got one of the biggest bail out calls in the history of football and because of it, defeated the Broncos 24-20.  The situation was 4th and 6 and Mark Sanchez threw a prayer to Santonio Holmes, and the ref called pass interference on the defender.  Yes there was contact, but that is a call you never see made.  It is an unwritten rule to never make a call like that to decide a game.  Additionally, Holmes made just as much contact on the defender.  The only rationale for making the call had to have been the defender grabbed Holmes' face mask.  The pass was literally a prayer because there was no possible way Sanchez could think anyone was coming down with that ball.  That prayer was answered by the football gods.  What made the call worse for Denver was it gave the Jets the ball on the one yard line.  They scored on the next play.  They got a lucky break, and to have a big season, you need the breaks to go your way.  This was a huge one.

The penalty call makes me continue to think football games are fixed.  The Jets were a 3.5 point favorite and the touchdown gave them a 4 point lead.  They ended up winning the game by the 4 point total.  If no penalty is called, Denver wins the game and the Jets do not cover.  The ref that made the call must have taken the Jets to cover.  Yes it is a crazy theory, but why not, it really is not unrealistic.

I will compare this to the break the Jets got in 1998 when Vinny Testaverde was clearly short of the goal line and the refs ruled he scored a touchdown.  That beneficial call propelled the Jets to win the game.  It led them to a 12-4 record and a division title.  This years Jet team will hope for similar fortunes.

It's Over

I will say it now after game 1.  The series is over.  I don't care that it is only one game, we all know the inevitable.  There is no point in having any faith in Texas.  They beat up CC Sabathia and had a 5-0 lead and still lost the game.  What a choke job.  It proved they are not ready to compete with the big boys.  If they could not win this game, how will they win any other games in the series?

It was like watching game one against Minnesota all over again.  After Minnesota blew the game, you could see all the life taken away from them.  I had the same feeling watching this game.  Both stadiums had so much early excitement, only to have it end in misery.  Minnesota totally collapsed, so why would Texas be any different?

Like usual, the Yankees proved why they are the Yankees.  No lead is safe against them.  Texas had many opportunities to expand their lead and they didn't.  That is death for a Yankee opponent in a playoff game.  They had two awful base running plays that even a little league kid would not make, preventing them from scoring more runs.  You could just sense the Yankees would come back, and the Texas bullpen helped by being terrible.  It was a typical Yankee performance.  Once they took the lead, Texas had no chance of coming back.  I have watched too many Yankee playoff games and realize teams like the Texas Rangers will not beat them.  This was the worst possible way for them to start the series and they will not recover.

Fast Car, Gimpy Hammy

Despite having a gimpy hamstring, Darrelle Revis showed he still had the ability to do something fast.  He was pulled over for driving 80 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour zone.  He probably wishes his car moved more like he did Monday night when trying to cover Percy Harvin; looking like he was in jog mode because of his lame injury.  The police officer did give him a ticket, and Revis actually did not give him the typical athlete "do you know who I am" line.  I will give him some credit because he did admit he was wrong and did not make any excuses for his dangerous act.   Jets players are not having much success driving cars.  The players really need to start taking advantage of the driving services which the team offers.

His excuse for doubling the speed limit was he was late to a meeting.  Revis must have got confused and though he was playing for Giants coach Tom Coughlan.  I guess he did not watch Hard Knocks over the summer because if he did, he would have seen Jason Taylor show up late numerous times and have the entire situation turned into a big joke.  Everyone thought it was so funny that Taylor had no sense of direction and his GPS never worked.  It was one big laugh.  There was no punishment for being late, so there was no need for Revis to rush.   Rex would have yucked it up and all would have been forgotten.  Not watching the show and sitting out all off season cost him a traffic violation.

Getting Paid

College players having agents? No way.  College players being paid and receiving gifts? Oh my god!!!.  I am obviously being facetious.  This weeks Sports Illustrated featured former agent John Luchs admitting to paying college football players.  In all honesty, are we really that surprised?  Those that believe college players are not being paid by agents are clueless.  How do you think these agents get the guys to sign with them once they turn pro?  They are obviously giving them something.  Why else would the player choose the agent once they became a professional.  I laugh when these stories come out and people react with such shock and denial.  Are we that naive of a society?

One of the players accused of taking money is former Ohio State Buckeye and current Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes.  Holmes has denied taking any money or benefits.  I doubt he is telling the truth.  Why wouldn't he take the money and benefits? Many of these athletes come from poor families and have never come close to any type of wealth.  Athletics is their way out and they want to be paid.  If they get a major injury in college, they are screwed.  One injury can cost a player millions of dollars.  If an agent can give these players something, it is very difficult for them not to accept it.  These are young kids and they do not know any better.

The NCAA makes billions of dollars from college football.  The players that are making money for the schools see none of it.  The colleges will say they provide them with an education, but we all know most players are not there for the education.  The players agents are going after are can't miss pros.  They are going to school to become professional athletes.  As long as the colleges are not paying players, the NCAA should stay out of it.  Additionally, this is something they will never be able to stop.  It is impossible to prevent agents from going after players.  The NCAA really needs to find more important things to do than worry about football players having agents.

Can We Start the Series Already?

I was listening to WFAN all day and Yankees fans have had way too much time on their hands.  It was so bad host Mike Francesa wanted to stop taking calls.  I have to admit,  I felt like kicking these people in the face when hearing the stupidity of their comments.  I understand it has been almost a week since they defeated Minnesota and have nothing else to think about, but the insanity needs to end.  All the time in between series has made many Yankee fans paranoid and idiotic.  Just get me to game one so I can hear them talk about something else.

Their main fascination has been on the pitching rotation in the Texas series.  The Yankees plan on pitching Andy Pettitte in game 3 against Cliff Lee.  However, some fans actually think AJ Burnett should pitch game 3 against Lee instead of Pettitte and have Pettitte pitch game 4.  The rationale is they can't beat Lee so they might as well pitch Burnett against him and sacrifice the game.  That might be the dumbest thing I ever heard.  Why would you want to throw your worst starter against their best?  It gives you less of a chance to win the game.  Burnett has been awful and it is bad enough that he even gets to start one game.  Andy Pettitte needs to be matched up against Lee.  Lee is very good, but he is not unbeatable, and there is no reason Pettitte cannot go toe to toe with him.  Pettitte has only been one of the best post season pitchers of this generation.  Lets also throw in the fact that the Yankees probably have the best line up in baseball.  No pitcher should intimidate them.

Additionally, if Burnett starts game 3, the Yankees will be forced to throw all their pitchers on 3 days rest.  We know CC Sabathia is very capable of this, but Pettitte and Hughes are not.  Pettitte is coming off an injury and has never been good on short rest, and Hughes has never done it.  I also doubt the Yankees would have Hughes pitch on 3 days rest when they babied him all season with the amount of innings he was allowed to throw.  Now if they happen to be down in the series 2-1, Sabathia will most likely pitch game 4, skipping Burnett.  At that point, they will be forced to go to a 3 man rotation the rest of the series.  That however, is a worse case scenario and something they should not worry about at this point.

Yankee fans just need to relax.  They are over analyzing this way too much and it is making them crazy.  They are the defending champs and should have no problem beating the Texas Rangers.  I mean it's the Texas Rangers for god sakes.  This is an organization that never won a post season series before they defeated Tampa.  Yankee fans need to get their confidence back and not be so worried.  Stop acting like a bunch of Met fans.
