Thank You Isiah

Isiah Thomas made his best move ever for the Knicks today. He decided not to take the consultant's job. Knick fans should all personally thank Isiah for this decision. The NBA ruled that it was a violation of league policy for him to take a consultant position because he is also the head coach of Florida International. If the NBA actually allowed this, it would have opened Pandora's Box, with teams being able to hire college coaches all across the country as team consultants. The NBA already has enough problems, and did not need anymore. Isiah can now go back to ruining a college basketball program, and Knick fans can take a deep breathe; get down on their knees to thank the god they worship.

The black cloud of Isiah Thomas will hopefully go away for good.  Garden interns can feel safe for now.  It is amazing that this decision is the best one ever made by Isiah. This shows just how bad he was as an executive. As I stated in a previous blog, the guy is a cancer, and should not be allowed back into the Garden. Many would say that he is one of the worst executives in the history of the NBA. To quote Will Ferrell in the movie Blades of Glory, bringing Isiah back into the organization was absolutely "mind bottling".

Knick fans can now go back to feeling good about the direction of the team; however, let’s not put it past owner James Dolan to screw it up. It would not surprise me to hear Isiah's name pop up again. Lets face it, Florida International is not North Carolina. Isiah might get sick of losing in college (which he will because he is also an awful coach) and decide to come back to the NBA.  We also know that James Dolan is dumb enough to hire him again.  Isiah must have some really good dirt on Dolan because there is no other possible explanation for ever bringing him back.
