It's Time to Shut Up

Play like a Jet means run a pee wee offense, have 6 first downs the entire game, commit 14 penalties, and allow Baltimore to convert 11 3rd down attempts.  This is why you keep your fat mouths shut and do your talking on the field.  The Jets looked nothing like the team Rex Ryan has boasted about the past 6 months.

The offense was a joke.  They did not let Sanchez do anything.  If I saw him throw another 5 yard pass, I was going to throw a bottle at my television.  I thought I was watching the Herman Edwards and Paul Hackett offense.  The offensive line couldn't block for Sanchez, and they looked lost running a 2 minute offense.  Braylon Edwards might be the most overrated player in the NFL.  He committed a stupid penalty and was never close to being open the entire game.  Shone Greene, who Jets fans basically made into the second coming of Jim Brown, can not hold onto the football.  Dustin Keller was invisible the entire game, and then looked lost when he didn't reach out for the first down on the last play of the game.

People will give the defense a free pass, but I won't.  I think Cromartie committed more pass interferences and holding penalties than he has kids.  Kyle Wilson, who Rex said was the most impressive player in pre-season, could not cover a dead corpse.  Yes the defense was on the field forever because the offense stunk, but they were also on the field so long because they could not stop Baltimore on third down.  You knew it was bad sign when Wilson committed a holding penalty on 3rd and 28.  A great defense does not allow a team to constantly convert 3rd downs.  Baltimore converted 11 and the Jets converted 1.  That is the game right there.  Additionally, after the first quarter, the defense barely touched Joe Flacco.  Rex continued to blitz, yet nobody came close to breathing on him, and besides Revis, the rest of the secondary can't cover shit.  And what a shock it was that Jenkins got hurt again.  At least he didn't waste anytime in doing so.

I am now waiting to hear the Rex Super Bowl guarantee.  He probably still will because he is such a fat ass loud mouth.  He will also guarantee a victory against New England next week too.   You can tell how much teams are sick of the Jets talking.  Baltimore looked so happy to beat them.  New England hates the Jets and definitely is sick of hearing all the hype.  They are going to come into Giant Stadium (I am still calling the stadium that) wanting to embarrass them.  Their mouths put a huge bulls-eye on their backs and for one week, could not back it up.  How can anyone have confidence in the Jets beating the Patriots?  If Cromartie and Wilson cover like the way they did tonight, the Jets will not have a chance.
